Don and Joyce Filiault purchased the Inn in 2002. Their business partner is Walt Sullivan, who handles the day-to-day operations of the Inn, with assistance from Brett Filiault. All of us at the Beach Breeze Inn feel privileged to operate this great old Inn and are dedicated to ensuring that your stay will be relaxing and rejuvenating. We still believe in customer service and enjoy working with our guests to assist them in planning their itineraries, be it a day or a dinner.
Below is a quick overview of our team and backgrounds:
Don Filiault - Don bought the Inn after spending many years in the Hotel Industry. Though not residing at the Inn, Don is a very active and involved owner and works closely with Walt and Brett on a day-to-day basis. Don and Walt have worked together and been good friends for over 30 years now. In addition to running the day-to-day operations of the Inn, Don, Walt and Brett are directly involved in the renovation work that remains ongoing each off-season.
Don began his career as a catering trainee with Marriott Hotels and worked his way up the ranks with various Hotel companies in numerous locations throughout the country. A lifelong boater, Don and Joyce enjoy visiting the many beautiful locations around the Cape and Islands.
Walter Sullivan - Walt started his career with Marriott Hotels where he focused on rooms operations for a number of years before shifting into Food & Beverage. Walt enjoys playing golf when time permits and is always willing to join our guests for a tour of one of the local courses, strictly business as they say. As a resident of Falmouth, Walt is a great resource on the many restaurants in the area as well as some of the local only beach and sunset spots.
Brett Filiault - Brett worked at the Inn summers and vacations since his dad purchased the Inn. He has worked full time since graduating from St. Michaels College in Winooski, VT with a degree in Business, May 2009. Brett is fully involved in all phases of the inn operations and is always available to assist with planning a day or evening in the area. Brett has grown up on Cape Cod and an invaluable resource on all things Cape Cod.
Joyce Filiault - Joyce is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University where she majored in Travel and Tourism. She spent her earlier career in the Sales and Marketing departments of hotels in the Boston area. Though currently working in the Internet Software business, Joyce can often be found coordinating some type of activity with Owen and some of our younger guests.
Owen Filiault - Owen, nearly 9, enjoys his time spent at the inn where he enjoys showing new guests to their room, patrolling the pool area, and playing on the front lawn with our junior guests.
Regretably the official mascot of the BBI, Oatz, left us in Feb. 2010. We want to thank our many guests and especially our junior guests for the years of love they showed him. We all miss him.
