Don and Joyce Filiault purchased the Inn in 2002. Their business
partner is Walt Sullivan, who handles the day-to-day operations of the
Inn, with assistance of Don. All of us at the Beach Breeze Inn feel
privileged to operate this great old house and are dedicated to
ensuring that your stay will be relaxing and rejuvenating. We still
believe in customer service and enjoy working with our guests to
assist them in planning their itineraries, be it a day or a dinner.

Don decided to buy the Inn
after spending many years in the Hotel Industry. Though not residing at the
Inn, Don is a very active and involved owner and works closely with Walt on a
day-to-day basis. Don and Walt have worked together and been good friends for
nearly 30 years now. In addition to running the day-to-day operations of the
Inn, both Don and Walt are directly involved in their renovation work that
remains ongoing each off-season. Don spent over 15 years in the hotel, Food &
Beverage area with a strong emphasis on Catering and special event planning
before moving into the overall management side of the Hotel Business where he
was General Manager at several properties. |

Joyce is a graduate of
Johnson & Wales University where she majored in Travel and Tourism. She spent the majority of her career in the Sales and
Marketing departments of Howard Johnson and Guest Quarters Suites Hotels in
the Boston area. Though currently working in
the Internet Software
business, Joyce continues her involvement through her contributions with web
site marketing and on property weekends, when the timing allows. She is
also responsible for the training program for their son Owen, nearly 6 years old. Owen loves to spend
his weekend time patrolling the pool area to ensure that everyone is having
a wonderful time and
playing on the front lawn with our junior guests.

Walt started his career with
Marriott Hotels where he focused on rooms operations for a
number of years before shifting into Food & Beverage. In addition
to Marriott, he also worked for Hyatt, Doubletree, Best Western, and Embassy
Suites in Springfield, Pittsburgh, Houston, San Diego, Maui and Boston. With
all his travels, Walt has managed to become quite a competent golfer
and is always willing to join our guests for a tour of one of the local
courses, strictly business as they say. As a resident of Falmouth, Walt is a
great resource of the many restaurants and bars in the area, as well as some
of the local beach and sunset spots.

Brett has worked at the Inn
summers since his dad purchased the Inn.He is currently a business student at
St. Michaels College in Winooski, VT. He can often be found keeping the gardens
weeded, the hedges trimmed, and the general grounds clean and orderly. |
|
|
|
Oatz has been
the official mascot of the Beach Breeze Inn since Don & Joyce bought
the Inn. He pretty much has the run of the place and really looks forward
to meeting all of our guests, particularly the kids. He also
really helps keep the floor and grounds areas free of food scraps. Oatz looks forward to joining your family for a photo out on our
“beach”, in front of the sign. |
